I'm going to put my hardtop back on the '92 and was wondering if there are any problems with removing the cloth top and reinstalling it.
With the hardtop on and the top folded there is very little luggage space. It looks like there are only 4 bolts holding it on. Does anyone know if there...
I wouldn't exactly call a car that will do 60 in less than six seconds a dog. The auto has a real deep first gear (3.06) to somewhat offset the 2.59's and they come in real handy at the gas pump!
My 67 is a four speed and lots of fun, but if I had only one it would be an automatic. They are...
3 Speed Vette
I have a road test around here somewhere of a base engine 67 and they wonder why anyone would want or need a four speed. I have to admit that my 300hp/327 is so flexible that I very seldom use all the gears.
Can only speak to the top. Had Al Knock install one at Carlisle one year on my 92. Was very statisfied with the workmanship and the quality of materials.
You're doing what I would like to do. We Do a fair amount of road trips in our 92 with the club and I thought how great it would be to...
We currently have two, my 67 Coupe and her 92 convertible. She wants a straight axle. Gotta Love the woman:upthumbs
Also have 59 Impala 2dr hard top work in progess and just picked up a 91 Maserati TC with 6500 miles on it.

For what it's worth I put a 650 Barry Grant on my '67 300hp. Just bolted it on and made up a new fuel line, adjusted the idle, and it runs like a champ. Called BG and told them what I needed and they gave me a part number that I gave to Jegs. Same air cleaner. In few days back on the road.
No...
My coupe has Diamond Back red lines on it. The thing I like about them is that on the outside they are absolutely smooth except for the stripe. All the required information is on the inside.
As for the color, I can't imagine anything but a narrow white wall just like the orginal...
I can't speak to the home conversion, but I have had a number of my vehicles done by the dealer who sells that brand of vehicle and had have had good luck with all of them.
My 92 vert will freeze you out if you turn it down............................Griz
A few weeks ago the lower alternator bolt backed out on my 300hp '67. The belt kept it from coming completely out. When I took it apart today to recheck everything I found that the threads in the exhaust manifold were pretty much gone. My guess is that it worked lose before and tore the threads...
I just joined this club a few years ago. Great people with strong leadership. Always something to do. Best wishes for a happy golden aniversary..................Dick
My small block is the same way. What happens is the carb is dry and you need to crank it enough so that the fuel pump can refill it and then it starts. Just squirt a little gas down the carb after it has been sitting a while and see if it starts. If it does, that's your problem.
I just live...
Some time ago I compared my '92 with the current Jag roadster and found my 10 year old base engine car was the equal to their new design. A ZR-1 would have them for breakfast.
Just to put a cap on the story, I bought the top. What I got for $1500 was a '95 Indy Pace Car top with the appropriate badging on the side, a cover, and a hoist to hang it from the ceiling. It's in perfect condition, was about 20 miles from home, and is white so no repainting will be needed...
I have a leather cap that streches between the headrests that I got from Mid America. Have not used it much, don't think it does much good and is annoying in the rear view mirror.....................Griz
Ruby hit the nail on the head. I have one of each. Yesterday was probably the last show this summer for the '67 that is any distance (hour plus ride) because it is just too uncomfortable to ride in until the weather cools down.
I belong to an active club that likes to tour in the summer and...
