    Rear License Plate Frame.

I bought one of the "My other car is a Corvette" license frames from the NCM, but removed it because of the ugly gaps it creates. Looks better hanging on the wall.

How hard is it to take the frame and windshield off a C1?

If you're careful, taking it off and putting it back are fairly easy with a helper. Disassembly and reassembly, however, can be difficult, and if you're not feeling real confident, I'd let a pro do it, especially with re-chromed parts. Two cautions on removal - be sure you have all the nuts...

    Hey guys, got some questions

C1 Hardtop You may want to try "Glassworks" in Pittsburgh, PA for the top. They sell parts , do restos, and even sell complete, restored tops. First class work, but as you'd expect, very expensive. I have a late 57 as well, so if I can help, let me know. Good luck, Cal

    Steering Wheel Restoration

C1 Steering Wheel Surface Hello all-- Sorry for the late input. I have an NOS C1 wheel (Gr. 6.513, #764756), and it definitely has the grain surface. Very low relief, closely resembles the wrinkle you get using incompatible paints. The two used wheels I have (one with no cracks whatever) are...

    68-73 rear bumpers

Tim -- My NOS bumpers are the same as you describe, only a "R" or"L" on the outboard bracket. Sounds like you have original units that were re-chromed in 89. Assuming you are doing some degree of restoration (as opposed to holding parts as an investment), those bumpers are probably equal to, or...

    68-73 rear bumpers

68-73 bumpers Martin -- In that case they'd be called "re-issued." Man, can we get hair-splitting with this stuff or what? That's one gorgeous 72 you have! Cal
