after a few years away, I rejoined the Corvette-crowd last June, when I came into this 2003 model (the blonde is a 1960 issue), and only recently was able to log-in again to this site (?)
am just beginning to think about making changes to increase the HP levels, but don't want to jeopardize...
in the late-1980's, I stayed at a small motel in Winchester, In., the week before the 500, and several transporters, sporting the familiar Buick '6' -logo on their flanks, were parked in the lot:
I was later told they had carried several blocks, heads, & hardware for the teams running that...
I noticed same, and that it appears to be a high-banked, tri-oval (arched front with a straight pit-road)
what appears to be a drainage ditch & telephone pole in infield grass is, by today's standards, crazy
it's ALL make-believe these days, but I had a friend/ardent Ford-man tell me that those 2-door Taurus 'weren't too-different from the street version':
i told him to go to Dearborn and wait for a 2-door to roll-off the assembly line
seeing how-far both drivers have their neck stretched & extended is eye-opening ~ how-many racers' lives have been saved since February 2001 due to the HANS devices world-wide?
that's what I thought, too... I know Evernham worked with Kulwicki for a very-short period of time, but the two were so-opinionated that it didn't last long
