I have no idea but what I did notice was that every race car is a Ford product in that shot.

I noticed same, and that it appears to be a high-banked, tri-oval (arched front with a straight pit-road)

what appears to be a drainage ditch & telephone pole in infield grass is, by today's standards, crazy

Only because the Mopars are at the front! lol. It was shot in '64 shot when nobody could touch the Hemi's.

I don't see how it could be anywhere but Daytona or Charlotte. Not many big tracks then.

I was thinking Daytona myself, as it doesn't look-like a quad-oval, and I don't think Charlotte has that-much banking on the front-stretch

Just by looking it sure looks like Daytona. We know that Talladega wasn't operating yet.
