The problem is that the part of the latch assembly that releases the U shaped hook doesn't retract as quickly as it should. Especially when it gets cold. Remedy is to lubricate both sides of the latch that catches the trunk lid's hook. I used a spray lithium grease into the latch assembly. Works...

I really like Zaino. I have never used a wax that has lasted so long. I would love to wax the car more often but rarely get the time so it's really nice that I have finally found a wax that lasts like Zaino. My .02

I can't wait to get rid of my run flats. And get some real tires. I already have the compressor and plug kit because I got a flat in the runflats and nobody around here wanted to touch them. So I fixed it with a plug last year and it's been great. So regular tires for me once these are toast.

Have them do an oil change. Other than that there's not much till 50k when the tranny fluid should be changed. But most of us change it well before then. And spark plugs at 100k which we all change before then. And if you do your own oil changes save your money and stay home. Tell the service...

If the car is an A4 tranny you may be fine. If it's a MN6 you'll have to monitor it. If you get into keeping the revs up with the 6 speed is when the oil comsumption becomes an issue.

The biggest thing with the earlier C5's was the oil consumption issue. I would have the dealer do a service report on the vehicle for you. It doesn't take long and it will give you the service history of the car from brand new. And you'll be able to see if the car had it's oil rings changed...
