Just a thought here; so after 7 Corvettes with 4-speeds, no air, no power steering, no power brakes, or anything else power; buying an '06 with a 6-speed automatic and loaded doesn't really make me a wannabe. Maybe next year you will see the 6-speed automatic as a Z06 option.

Had the same exact problem with my '99 along with the Vacuum controls. Apparently when the battery blew (previous owner) it must have affected the connections and controls under the battery compartment. There was something about that in an issue of Corvette Fever awhile back. Take a look...

If don't know if someone has suggested it or you have checked, but look at the light switch for the rear glass hatch since you have a coupe.

Ordered mine from GM, still have the part numbers (somewhere), and used 3M double-sided tape to apply them. Couldn't think of drilling holes in the Vette!
