If you have disconnected the Computer Aided Gear Selection (CAGS) system, use our 1989-96 Performance Choice 6-Speed Skip Shift Bypass to protect the open ends of the harness. Dirt and corrosion can enter the open ends and cause problems. These plugs are custom made for the harness and allow you to reconnect it, if necessary, with no modifications or problems.

I know the previous owner put the plug on I was just wonderinh where it was located.

hi there guys,
i have added a "cags" bye pass plug to my tranny but even though i have disconnected it the shift light 1-4 still comes up on dash!
is this normal?
i also heard that there is a relay on passenger side on wheel well near fire wall that you can put some thin foam betweeen the plug and relay and connect back up to stop dirt gettting in but it wont work any more but will still show up a code, have you heard this trick before?
any info on this at all please guys?
thanks

The light will still come on. It is normal. Just ignore it! Guy

It's hanging on the driver side of the tranny. Very easy to see once the car is raised up. Hard to see if down (Maybe with a light & mirror)
