12" or 13" (J55) rotors Brake Pads

I noticed the front pads for my 95 with 13" rotors do not cover 100% of the rotor. Are the P/N (pads) for the 13" and 12" front rotors the same?

I do not think they are...


I have replaced the pads on my one 1989 (w/out J55) and always said "not the big brakes"

I tried to look at a couple of different online catalogs but they were all too generic -

Pretty sure they are.

The pads don't cover the whole rotor surface on the J55. There's about a half inch from the middle that isn't swept.

The above post tells it all. The reason for that is that bigger pads don't always mean better braking. The limitation of the C4s front brakes on stock or near stock cars is not the swept area but the massiveness of the rotors. More mass means better heat sinking and better braking when the brakes get hot.
