Welcome to the :CAC

Reeves was our Special Guest at last years Callaway Reunion and due to a recent addition to his Family, it looks like he won't be able to commit to the event this year

I have worked hard again this year and secured the Callaway Owners space in the fun field :) ...more details to follow

If you have a sec. swing by www.callawayownersgroup.com and check out the events section for info on Carlisle 2003 :m

Again, WELCOME :v

p.s. Tell us about your SNAT...

My Callaway

I have a 1992 Callaway Supernatural, one of 42 aerobodies, 11K original miles, black rose, show car! I will try to make it to Carlisle this year but am disappointed that Reeves won't be there. Should I give him a call and ask again if he would make a special appearance?

I like corvettes. Besides the Callaway, ... I have a Z06 silver 2001 with 4,400K miles on it and a 92 white C4 with 8K miles. Too bad I can't find a guy to match my cars and personality! Most men are too boring for me. I guess that's why I like cars.

Corvette Girl

Let me tell you if you dont go to Carlilse you will be missing out big time just ask any of the other Callaway owners These Cars are a very RARE breed and to miss the largest gathering of them in the world is uncomprehensable Come on join us you wont be disappointed I Promise.Pete

Carlisle was a great time last year and I expect nothing less this year... with or without Reeves present.

Reeves Who??

Chris & friends did a great job last year.As a matter of fact my local Corvette club got ****ed that we parked with the Callaway people instead of them. They got over it!
See You At Carlisle,
Tony C.

I just returned from a business trip to Orlando. I made a visit to Rogers Corvettes just to look at their inventory. Getting into the dealer parking was difficult (fences all around and no direction). I parked in back and found my way in. I was promptly met and when I said I was just looking and that I had an 81, is was like, ok, we don't need to waste our time with you.... Great looking cars in the showroom but poor customer service skills. They know they have great cars and who cares if you are looking, someone will buy them....if not you....at their price...

It's a great looking car and worth the asking price. Enjoy.

I live around the corner from Roger's and this couldn't be farther from the truth. Maybe you like walking into a dealership and having 10 salesman come up to you slobbering at the mouth. These guys know that 99% of the people that walk in the door are there to look and look only. If someone is interested they will seek out a salesman. All of them are knowledgable and professional I might add...

I must have been in a bad mood that day. They are great people and they have great looking cars.

Gents

I now have my car CTT#19. I have a few issues and will post my opinion of Rogers Corvette in a few days when I hear back from Rogers Corvette.
A side note though:
When I was 20 I walked into a Corvette dealer in Dupage county IL. No one would come up to me, so after waiting about 15 min I went up to sales man and asked If I could take an 85 Vette I liked for a test drive. I was told that they don't let their cars out for test drives and he walked away. In the mean time I had already watched people go out with dealer plates for a test drive. Me and my buddy left and I was really upset, I wanted to buy a corvette. My buddy calmed me down and said he knew of a corvette dealer in Plainfield Il and lets give them a try. At this point I was a little afraid but what else did I have to loose. A half hour later we were at Corvette Collection in Plainfield (no relation to the CC in Florida). I wasnt there 2 min before the owners brother came out and talked to me. I asked if I could drive one of the cars. He asked me if I needed a cosigner I said no and he got me the Keys. Since then I have owned 8 corvettes Callaway TT # 19 being the 8th. I purchased all but this one from them because they were always professional and treat everyone great even if your just looking. At this point because of some issues I don't have a warm fuzzy feeling. I have heard alot of good things and a few not so great. However I am fair and will give them a chance to make things right. Everything I say will be the truth.

Send it back and buy mine, Cross :D I'll make you a hell of a deal :L

Thanks but Roger called me and was very helpful, apolized for the car leaving the dealership with the issues and is making it right.

Can you enlighten us on the issues the car had?

Yes

I meet the transport driver at 11:50pm about ten miles from my house in the middle of a killer thunderstorm. I drove the car home parked it in my garage and smelled something burning. The next morning I opened the hood looked for the problem and found 1 pool of coolant and a seperate pool of oil on the lower manifold. I sent Roger a picture of the leaks as well as the OD to show ten miles driven and just asked for him to comment. I did not accuse them of anything I just wanted to know what he had to say (when I purchased the car I told them I would buy it on their reputation sight unseen). Roger was very sorry that the car left his dealer like that and has offered to take care of it. After talking to him I do not doubt his word, and as long as he follows through ( I do not doubt he will) I will buy more cars in the future from him and refer others to him.
If anyone wants to see a picture of the leaks, I can send it directly

The place that worked on my ZR1 is willing to do it as a favor to me. They usually stick to the LT5 but I have been a loyal customer so they will work on it. Do you have any suggestions?

Cross

Probably just in need of regular maintenance. ALL hoses and lines MUST be checked and tightend on a regular basis. Now that your a Callaway TT owner, you need to become very familiar with the engine and turbo setup.

No, not in the area youre from. If you trust them with your LT5, Im sure they'll do fine with the Callaway.

Cross, was OldZR-1Guy (Steve) able to affer any suggestions in the Chicago area?? Here is his contact info: http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/forums/member.php?s=&action=getinfo&userid=6709

Also, one of the guys at the Callaway Reunion last Aug was from Ill. Not exactly sure of the area - I could contavt him and ask what options there are in the area - he has a ZR1 and B2K both and drives them often :)
Hope this helps :m

here is a pic of Old Zr-1guy's Callaway

Ya
The guy is Mark Haibeck http://www.zr1specialist.com/ and he is a:BOW ZR1 GOD. Most ZR1ers know of him or have their work done by him. I have even seen DRM refer people to him in his area.
I will eventually become comfortable with the TT setup myself, but NOT IN THE FIRST DAY, and not on a car I just paid 23000 for.
