The failure of the lever to return to the neutral position rendering one stop light inoperative is something many of us are familiar with. This has been addressed many times. I would like to see the GM fixes listed in that referenced Dec '58 Service News for those of us that still have an original St. Louis installed switch in our early '59 model year cars.
