That is weird, and that car needs some help. Interestingly, a member in our club walled up his own Corvette of similar vintage. When the kids were grown and moved out he tore the wall down and did a full restoration.

sure would be fun to find a car like that close to home for a lot less money. Definatley give me something to do this winter

i agree with ya both!
shame they want so much for it in that shape.
needs LOTS of love -
But thought it had a neat story with it

It really is a funny auction, it has only been walled up for 10 years, there are actully a couple of people around here who have done the same thing kind of by building a new house on a lot not large enough to add a garage, put the car in the basement, build the house around it with one wall not backfilled, knock out the wall when done, or when they have lost interest, or when the wife finally gets them to get rid of it.

Thoose must have been about 35,000 miles at 1/4 a trip by how rough that car looks underneath.

Tom

I might believe the engine has 35,000 miles on it. But it looks like the car has seen a few more than that. :Steer

Its already too expensive but shows you how inexperienced buyers will pay high money for bad or incomplete cars. A 63 roller needing restoration (except frame) went for $18,000 a few weeks ago. Some people have more money than sense.
