I HAVE RECENTLY, LIKE TODAY, PUT THE HOOD ON MY RESTORATION PROJECT, MY 1962 FUEL CAR. NOT ONLY AM I HAVING SOME ALIGNMENT PROBLEMS BUT A MAJOR ISSUE WITH THE HOOD SUPPORT. AS YOU KNOW THE FUEL INJECTION AIR CLEANER HAS A FRESH AIR DUCT RUNNING TO THE FRONT AND IT RUNS UNDER THE HOOD SUPPORT BRACKET. WHEN THE HOOD IS CLOSED THE INNER SLIDE OF THE SUPPORT EXTENDS BEYOND THE END OF ITS OUTER SLEEVE AND DIGS INTO THE AIR DUCT. THE FRONT FI AIR CLEANER HOSE BRACKET IS SUPPOSED TO HOLD THE HOSE DOWN FAR ENOUGH SO THE HOOD SUPPORT SLIDE CAN EXTEND DURING OPERATION, MINE DOESN'T EVEN COME CLOSE. ANY THOUGHTS?
THANKS
