Folks,

I just took delivery of my "new/old" 1963 SWC w/327-360 hp FI baby on Saturday - the car doesn't have an owner's manual and I want to change all the fluids and put RedLine in.

I need capacities for everything -

1. how many quarts of oil do I need to buy?
2. believe I have cannister-type oil filter - anyone know the part #?
3. want to change manual tranny fluid - how much capacity - 1 quart bottle enough?
4. want to change differnential fluid - how much capacity - 1 quart bottle enough?

any words of wisdom you all can offer will be greatly appreciated

FYI - once I get some digital pictures taken, I will post my 1963 and 2001 both

Hi c5vetter,

It seems to me that the '63 360hp uses the same 6 qt trap door pan as the earlier cars. The canister filter is a PF141 no longer made by AC. I'm sure it is available from the parts houses or NAPA can cross it. Not sure on the exact capacity of the rear and trans. I always just fill it til it reached the check plug.

Tom,

thanks for the info - ordered the owner's manual today, so I will have one

BTW - also ordered the 1963-1967 Restoration Guide by Nolan Adams - just received that UPS yesterday (Wednesday) and boy is it packed with lots of information!

Good choice. I have Volumn one 1953 -1962. I refer to it often.
