Any advice on the best aftermarket radio for 1964 vette?

Welcome to CAC. I can't help you with aftermarket radio. Way back in the 70's when I had my 64 coupe I had my original radio rebuilt, because there were no aftermarket that fit the original hole. I know they have pretty good replacement radios today.
