I'm finishing installing the interior, but it's been so long since I took it apart that I'm puzzled about the following.

How is there room for the parking brake plastic slider to move forward under the console in a power window car? I'm still assembling, but it looks as though the slider will jamb up in the power window switch and wiring when I drop the handle into the brakes-released position. Remember folks.....this is a '67 (only midyear with parking brake between the seats). ;)

Although the housing, slider, handle and console are all new, it is a power window car and the slider worked before.

Am I missing the obvious? :confused

Some of the replacement sliders are a "fits-all" piece for '67 and later cars; just trim off the excess length at the front of the slider so it doesn't hang up on anything in the full down position.

Yeah, heaven, it's gotta work. I have p/w on mine and the slider works just fine. Ain't it amazin how hesitant we are to cut a new part cause the rest of the car is new?
