Can anyone tell me an easy way to remove the sterring coulumn, and by the way has anyone else ever broken the one in their car?

Thanks,
Tom

Tom,

Remove the 2 screws from the filler ring to the dash, remove the 3 bolts from the steering column dash bracket, remove the clamp from the firewall filler, remove the bolt on the column end of the rag joint coupler, and remove the column. What did you break?? only thing I ever see broke on a 67 column is the crush part of the column. If you need an undamaged 67 tube I have one.

Dennis,

I believe I broke the "crash" sleeve, this is like concrete reinforcement mesh is this the tube? It feels like a little piece may have broke off and dropped into a bearing or something which is makeing it bind alittle bit, the wife wasn't real happy with me as she was with me at the time and we were passing a couple of cars :D The breaks are all silver so I am sure that it just happened and not that the piece finally caused it to bind.

Drop me an IM with your phone number again if you got this part.

Thanks for the reply,

Tom
