82 corvette knock sensor

I have an 82 corvette and ofcourse can't find a knock sensor. The one i have on the car has the stud that the plug connects to broken off. Has anyone trired repairing theres? Like maybe drill and tap and put a small all threaded stud?

Can you use a different one and change the wiring connector?
