1969 gas sending unit

I will be replacing the fuel sending unit on a 1969. I found that Crane's catalog has a fuel sending unit removal tool. Anyone ever used one of these before and is it worth the $18. The removal of the unit seems pretty straight forward to my untrained eye.

Removing and installing the lock ring that holds the sending unit into the tank is a little tedious, but not worth spending $18 for the tool unless you replaced them every day. Use a brass drift on the tabs instead of a screwdriver or steel drift (no sparks).

I agree Ive only done a few but I used the screwdriver method,its not too bad
