My alternator belt popped tonite on my '76.. Looks like I need to remove the air compressor and power steering belts to replace. The air conditioner belt looks easy enough but the power steering belt looks tough to get to.. Any suggestions out there??

I recently remove and replace the power steering pump on my "76". There is not trick to it. To remove the belt just loose the mount bolts and move the pump inward to loosen the belt. Just be careful when you tighter it back up, you can damage the pump if you use a big pry bar to move the pump outward to tighten the belt. I use a large screw drive but you have to be very carful because you can get the screw drive pressing against some soft parts of the pump. Its not as bad as it sounds just get your hands in there and you will figure it out.
