I recently bought a 1976 Corvette and the head lights don't go down, which I need to find out what the problem is. But in the interim, I would like to know if there is a way to manually bring down the headlights or bring them back up? Please advise.

Did you check the override switch at the bottom of the dash near the steering column. That could be why the lights well not go down.

Had a similar problem on my 74. The over-ride switch under the steering column was broken off. Easy to do. Must have been hit with a foot or leg getting in or out of the car. As a temp fix you can just but the two vacumn lines together. Head lights then operate off the headlight switch. If that is not it look for a vacumn leak on these lines. If they do not hold vacumn the lights come up.
