My tachometer in my 76 vette is frozen at about 3000 RPM. Can anyone give me some ideas on how to fix it? Is it electrical and if so what needs to be replaced?

when my did that, it was a fried circuit board. not fun. just make sure you have a good connection at the distributor cap first.

Thanks! Everything is a big job it seems. Can't even get good access to the fuse block.

My 76 tack just quite also its at zero, since I had the distrubitor replaced recently I am going to start there but I suspect its the board as it was working fine for weeks after the replace ment. I will let yuou know what I find out.
