Help! My 1977 keeps blowing instrument cluster light fuse. All gauges, speedo, tach, headlights, and interior lights work fine. The fuse holder reads steady 12+- volts. I have replaced the fuse several times and it keeps blowing. Any ideas would be very helpful!!! Thanks

After taking my center dash out a couple times, I noticed that the flexible-plastic, printed, circuit board had allowed one or 2 of the internal bare wires to come out. They would touch and short out. I seperated them and applied a little tape to keep them from touching anything else, then put it back together.

The problem (for me) was in the center dash, at the top. Right where that tiny map-light is located.

I'm not saying that this is your problem, but it might help to look.
