I have an opportunity to purchase a 1977 vette with miles in the 60,000 range for 8500 dollars. The car has orginal paint and interior. The air does not work and neither does the cruise. Everything else is orginal. All gauges work. I have attached a picture below. I believe this is a fair price, but am interested in more experienced feedback. All opinoins appreciated. But please hurry, I must decide by Friday.

Thanks,

From the pics you posted and my personal experience in Corvette Shopping say that 8500 is a fair deal for that car.

Looks good in the pictures. As an original it looks well maintained. I would say if the frame is solid and the engine compartment is just as clean its more then a fair deal.

Nahh.. I'd take off $750 adtl for the faded bumpers.

:D From what I SEE, and after driving it, I would say yes to the price..

So Pastor:
Did ya' pull the trigger??

77 corvette

Pastor,
I bought a garaged for 21 years '79 vette 2.5 years ago. Similar to your description. Seller wanted $9500, I paid $7500. Be advised. I had to replace every hose/rubber component. Replaced suspension, brakes, including rotors. Steering pump/hoses. Rochester had to be rebuilt. A/C was replaced @$850.00. Alternator also. $2500 body work/paint job..original millenium yellow. Seat covers replaced. Dash items/console. A long list remains. I've spent about $12,000 after purchase. Once you get going, you can't stop. Pay off?
I love this vette. I get waves & thumbs up everywhere I go. Also, I put on American Racing Torque D wheels..235/60/l5 tires...anything bigger rubs fender wells..ie 255/60/15's. Now my vette runs strong, and drives straight.
A total pleasure. Engine dyno'd @ 330 at the flywheel crank..apparently has a racing cam with all the extra goodies.
So, if you love this '77, be prepared to write alot of checks. I will post a picture of my vette.

Sincerely,

Banjoey

I just bought my 79 L82 about a month ago, and I cant stop workin on it. Its in good cond., but its almost impossible to stop workin on it. You can always make a nice vette even nicer!
