1979-80 Corvette

I believe I have asked this question before but it's been awhile so I'll ask again. I have a 1980 Corvette with a 1979 front clip. Does anyone know if Chevy ever built any Corvettes like this? I have tried numerous times to trace previous owners but have not had any luck. Thanks.

Sorry to say but someone has changed the front clip on your car. Probably had an accident and found used parts to install. Chevrolet never did this.

I suspected as much. Turns out the car was originally black on black according to the trim tag. It is now and as far back as 2001 it's yellow.

Looks like they did a good job putting the 79 clip on it.
