As some of you guys know, I've been working on to put together a registry for us, '79 owners. I did a small survey on the Corvette Action Center about a year ago and noticed that we could easily have nice amount of members, if we could all the 79s on this forum to join. So hopefully all you guys and gals who own one or more of the 53,807 1979 Corvettes please feel free to join in.
Here's the link to the registry:
http://www.vettefinders.com/79registry/front.htm

In the registy I have created a simple form for you to fill it gives you a pass word, which you can use later on if you want to make any changes to your profile. I've also most of the 79 specs on the registry, and I'm very open minded for all the suggestions you guys and gals might have.

We will also have Car of the Month, which will change every month. I already have the first Car of the month-car arranged and it will show from the start of May, since we are already mid way through April. If you'd like to see your car as the June's car of the month drop me a line.

As all you know Corvette is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, and the party will be held in Bowling Green and Nashville in Late June. Now I would like to know if any 79 owners are going to make it there? I'm definately going and it would be awesome to have a 79Registry Get together there! Take a group photo infornt of the museum! So all those who are interested contact me via email and we'll talk some more!

Thanks for all you guys and gals who have been so supportive and helpfull, with out you guys and gals I couldn't have done it!

Best Regards
Jay

1st!

Great to have you on board, are you planning of going to the 50Th party as well?:beer

I am a little confused to the registration page.

What do I put for the following fields:
inspected
friend
publication

Are you asking how I found the site?
The question is a little unclear.

Can you go in and change your registration info later?

There are things that I dont know but would like to add.

Oh... and my trim code I think reads

CHEVROLET L06
592 10L

What does that mean?

You need to add an "EDIT" section for the members

These inspected, friend, publication is there, if, for exapmle, your neighbour owns a 79, he is not into Internet, so you can fill out the form for him. this is just to get all the 79 registered...

You can use your Login and Password later on to change the information in your profile.

Keep the input coming, we are still taking the first steps here:m

Well, mine is registered. I'll have to go back and fill some stuff in, when I have a chance to pull the build sheet...

Joe

Very nice site!! The '78 SA Registry is definitely not near the calibre that your '79 Registry is, though. :( Anyways, very nice job!!! :D

It was the 78 SA registry that first gave me the idea of starting this registry! We are approaching 40 members already, hopefully we can one day say we have all the existing 79 in our registry;)

How badly do you want to complete the list?
You might want to try and contact every seller and get the info.
Tough job...

I'll be picking up my '79 L-82 this week as a replacement for my '77 L-48 that was hit head-on and totalled a month ago.The '77 was bright yellow #56,had less than 78,000,and was almost perfect-may she rest in piece,or pieces. So I will need to find out about the '79 Forum soon.

:_rock I just picked up a '79 recently, and signed up myself, although I didnt catch which number.
