1980 factory gauge replacement?

Hello folks,

I have a 1980 and I want to replace the factory gauges with Auto Meter or ? But I want to retain the original cluster bezel. Has this ever been done? Any info would be great......

My thought would be to keep the system stock. You can buy the factory gages if your dont work and you don't have to worry about fit. Plus another thought. Someday these C-3's are going to be going up in worth (Price) and the more stock your vette is the more it will be worth...
