Hi, i've been looking over the car for the past while and I want to know if I have to take the body pieces apart piece by piece or do they come off similar to the 67 on www.67heaven.com? Does anyone have any pictures? Is there a good book that will explain?
Will Noland Adams Body Lift & Chassis Disassembly book work for me?

Thanks
Mike

Why do you want to "take the body pieces apart"? All the body panels are bonded to each other and to the underlying steel birdcage structure to form one single bonded unit - none of them come off without cutting them off.

Thats exactly what I wanted to know. So with the exception of the front and rear bumper, door and hood the rest is one complete section. I didn't want to take them all apart, its just I didn't know if they had to be taken apart that way.

Thanks,
Mike

If the bird cage is bad you need to take the whole thing apart. The front clip is chipped off easily, no cutting. Just carefully chisel the bonding cement away with a thin flexible putty knife. The firewall is pretty easy to remove also, drill out all rivets (after removing windscreen) and chisel it off, it is a lot of work though. The rear is the most diffucult to do, you have to remove all the rivets that hold the rear clip to the kickup area behind the seats and then chisel at the bonding seam around the door lock plate. Once you have done that you can repair all rust on the bird cage and paint it with some kind of rust preventative.
