Trying to help out a buddy with an 80 who wants to get rid of "bubble" lenses installed by previous owner. The "usual suspects" (Corvette Central, Ecklers etc) do not seem to repro these lenses which seems a bit strange. Going to be at Carlise anyway so thought I would check for NOS, repro, or good used ones. Anyone know the part number? Don't have parts or judging manual for 1980 since I have a 62

Thx,

The repro ones are a bit different in color (I think lighter then original) but they come closer to the red color reflector on the backup lights. :)

Fortunately for your friend...Carlisle is this week..
best place in the world to find what he is looking for!!!!!!
I'm sure there will be some there!!!!!!
there is a judging manual that is specific for the '80/'81 and '82's
they can be purchased at Carlisle as well about 30.00 from the NCRS table...

80 models do not have separate tail light lenses; all four are tail light assemblies. Your friend should order two stock outers and two stock inners. If the bubble conversion resulted in cutting the rear harness, you can find stock replacement pigtails.

The assembly instruction manual (AIM) lists the original GM part numbers for the assemblies. If memory serves, 80-82 are the same.
