I seriously doubt this is a 1980 with only 6,028 miles on it... after looking at the engine bay :eek
Maybe more like 106,028 miles or maybe even 206,028 miles
Look closely and you can see RUST on the master cylinder and power brake booster, among other places :eek It also looks like it the old cloth type air cleaner tubes have be changed out to the aftermarket plastic ones
A lot depends on how well it was maintained/stored for 30 years.
Both my 78s have fewer miles and under my hoods are not perfect. Spotlessly clean but a lot of parts were not painted well by the factory and many parts are bare metal and subject to corrosion. Of course not nearly as bad as the 80 pictured. I've done some detailing but prefer to leave most things as 'original'.
I remember looking at a 78SA a few years ago. 1000 doc miles. Looked like it had been stored in a sauna. Not a bit of blue paint remained on the motor, interior was moldy, undercarriage all rusty!
And there was a 78 Pace Car available a few years ago. Something like 50 actual miles. It spent its entire life stored in a Texas CARPORT, much of that time without the T-tops in place(stolen).
EVERYTHING was rusted, if it wasn't metal, it was moldy and falling apart. Seller was still trying to get $20K pushing it as a 'survivor'otfl

I am late to this thread, but car is still on ebay. The one thing I noticed is the CA plate on the car. a 1980 should have the blue with yellow numbers. so this car was not kept in CA the whole time, because in CA the plate stays with the car. SO I am willing to bet it is alot more miles on this car than just 6K.
