;help Hi all well had baby out tonight , and the radio stopped working. The digital display only shows the time will not show even a radio station. When i change from am to fm you hear a little noise but not even static. Checked the fuse in the fuse box looks okay. Noticed the am light comes on but not the fm light. The cassette player does not play nor fast forward or rewind the tape. Any help greatly appreciated. Love driving her but need my tunes. I really want to keep the original radio she is completely stock.

HI LVMYVT76
THE ONLY FUSE I KNOW OF IS IN THE FUSE PANEL UNDER THE DASH ON THE DRIVERS SIDE , WHICH WAS CHECKED. DO YOU KNOW OF ANY OTHER FUSE FOR THE RADIO? THANKS -- RON

:w Ron,

From your description of the radio operation, it sounds like a power supply issue ;)

I don't know of many folks that still work on radio's, I'm sure there are a few dinosaurs left that do ;)

I'll look through some other old posts and see what I find, mean time you might try the "Search" feature and plug in Radio Repair or some other key words ;)

Bud

EDIT: Fast search of "Radio Repair" I came up with a number of threads, here is post from one that might be of interst:
Good reports about this guy, but no first hand knowledge as yet.

Try changing the fuse even though it looks OK. I have had them blow where you couldn't see the break. Also search the C1/C2 forum for radio repair. I know the the subject came up recently.

I had a similar problem last week. Radio worked the night before, next day nothing. Do your interior lights come on when you open the door? I noticed that I had no interior lights on, checked the fuse for that, and it was blown. Put in new fuse and I had interior lights and Radio working again. This fuse is to the right of the Radio fuse in fuse block. Try this and let us know if this fixes the problem. My .02:)
