Swapped my '81 for a 96 coupe last week. Both have issues but am thinking i got the better end. Anyway, I have a shop manual and AIM that needs a new home. They can be yours for the cost of shipping. Anyone still need to read instructions?

I also have a set of parking brakes.

Traded the 81 eh...

I can understand moving into a newer Corvette, every year newer is a bit nicer in features :dance...

You are being VERY GENEROUS with your GM Shop Manual and AIM :eek

If you still have the brakes in a couple of weeks, let me know I will take them. Mine are still the originals, and almost out of enough adjustment to work anymore ;)

I have the Registry back but I don't know how to do anything with it, web wise, so if you can go in and edit your data please do, if not please send me an email so I can file it until we get the Registry back to somewhat normal operation ;) rarel81 @ hotmail.com

That is generous indeed, but I just bought both of them just this week, so I know what they are worth, and also these need to be shipped to Europe yet....
Good Luck with your new toy!

I will take your 81 AIM if you accept PayPal and if the AIM is hardcopy paper. Price? Reading is fundamental.

This is a very kind gesture. I just ordered a reprint assembly manual, but don't have a shop manual. Is it a general one for 68-82?

Thanks

the AIM-assembly manuals are very year specific..

He did not ask that Bill; he inquired about the shopmanual, it that one is general

The answer should also be here, that an official shopmanual from GM is also year-specific, just like the AIM.

If that shop manual is in fact specific for the year, I'd love to take it off your hands. PM me if you get a chance and I will be happy to pay you whatever you want for shipping and your trouble.

Thanks again.

It is the GM Manual (red cover) specific to 1981
That would be the GM 1981 Shop Manual ST-364-81 which is very desirable if you want to know anything about your 81.. 10 chapters from General Information Brakes to Accessories with lot's of other stuff in between the covers, along with schematics and wiring diagrams...

These usually sell on Ebay from anywhere around $40 to $75 depending upon condition of the book...

A must have if you work on your own car :dance
