The 1982 Corvette was the end of an era for a chassis which had been in production for almost 20 years and a body style which had been in production for 13. GM wanted to do something special for the platform's final year. It "pulled ahead" the powertrain from the coming 1984 Corvette (a new dual-throttle body injected engine and a new four-speed automatic transmission) then made a special Collector Edition package available which had a unique glass hatchback and a special paint and graphics package. All 82 Collector Editions were loaded with all options available on a Corvette in 1982. Power everything, FE7 "Gymkhana" suspension, alloy wheels, cruise, air...everything
Extras:
>1982 Service Manual,
>1982 Assembly Manual
>2 Owner's Manuals
>new ACDelco alternator
>new ACDelco starter
>2 new EGR valves
>2 ECM calibrations, Fed and CA
>full set of the 82 Collector Edition stripe/graphics package, less the hood stripes, all still in GM Parts boxes.
