1982 crossfire engine swap

Has anyone out there put one of the GM crate engines in and used their crossfire parts? I am thinking about getting a new 290 hp motor instead of rebuilding my old one and wondered if it worked well or did I need to also change lots of other things.

I ran into a guy at Carlisle that told me he put a 360 HP crate motor in his '84 Vette, and used the crossfire manifold with all the control hardware without any problems. He offered to take me for a test drive, but I was commited to something else. He said it was awesome.

should not be a problem, some have built 383 motors and used their crossfire stuff.
