1984 Corvette Doug Nash 4+3

Does the shift have service parts that can be replaced to take out the extra movement in the shifter? Are there diagrams online showing this?

Can you explain "extra movement" better? Are you talking about reducing the throw front-to-rear, or is your shifter moving around while in gear, or what?

There are replacement pieces to shorten the throw (movement front/rear when shifting) but I installed a set in my 4+3 and honestly didn't notice a LOT of difference. Inch or two less, maybe. For me, short-throw means the whole shifter moves an inch or two TOTAL...

Extra movement in four speed shifter

While it is in 2nd gear. It seems to have play forward to back (while engage in 2nd gear).

Does it sould like a linkage adjustment?

Or?

Thanks

Ok, that I don't have any thoughts on... my shifter moves a bit while still in gear, but not enough to bother me.
