I'm trying to replace a burned out headlight on my 1985 C4...There is supposed to be a knob to turn to manually move the headlight assembly to gain access to the removal screws. My vette doesn't seem to have that knob. How can I move the lights manually?

The manual knob is on the bottom of each headlight motor for the '84 - '87 Corvettes. Here's an easier way to change the headlight:
1. Turn on your headlights to open the doors.
2. Turn off the headlights, and then quickly pull the headlight switch out to the parking light position. This will cause the doors to stop half-closed. You may need to do this a few times to get the timing right! Now you'll have access to the side screws on the headlight covers! Don't loose those special screws!
