I am in the process of replacing the fuel pump. I also learned that an oil pressure switch could be the problem. I have looked for the switch, but I cannot seem to locate it. I have also checked the relay, and it checks out ok. I did do a continuity test on the old pump and the test was ok, could the pump still be bad.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

I have a '90 C4 and both the O/P switches on mine are fitted together by a "T" arrangement by the base of the distributor. They are buried and hard to see. Be gentle with the wires too. If the switch is operating correctly turn ignition to the ON position and listen for the fuel pump to run for 2 seconds. It is a "fail-safe designed to kill the engine if it doesn't sense oil pressure. It is the larger of the two O/P switches connected to the oil galley port with(I believe) 3 wires coming off of it and on mine the switch towards the left(drivers) side is the one that controls the fuel pump. . The other switch is for the gauge and is the same type GM has used forever. Check your individual FSM to be sure, but this will get you started in the right direction.
