On my 1986 convertible 4+3, do any of the aftermarket places make the connector with the fusible link as pictured below? Coming off the positive battery cable are 2 other red wires, 1 goes behind the battery to a fuse block/tower, and the other goes to a big black connector that has 2 orange wires that lead to a connector down below the master cylinder; my coolant fan wasn't working, and I traced it to one of the broken orange wires; I can purchase a generic fusible link, but I need one that has the connector as pictured below; I have it temporarily fixed, but as you can see, I certainly don't want to leave it like that; any help on securing a new one is appreciated....

No,Actually you will have to make one up!:thumb

Fusible link comes in several gauges and you can get the metal connector pins for the plug at most auto parts stores!:thumb:thumb

I have to make them up from time to time on C3's and early C4's.
There are several Fusible links on your vehicle around and below the battery,(5-10 depending options) in the 92 up models they went to Maxi Fuse blocks!:thumb:thumb:thumb

Junk: Thanks for the info; I'm gonna try and see if I can find one of the connectors at our local auto parts store; the fusible links are not that big of a deal, however it may take a little more effort to find one, or repair that connector; appreciate your input........

Regards, Chris :)

Junk: I actually found the connector I was looking for at Pep Boys; Dorman brand, part #: 85390, for $14.99; now I just have to wire in a couple of fused connections and I'll be all set; thanks for the reply and info.........
