1986 Hood Scissor Support Conversion to left side Strut

Has anybody done this conversion?? Motorbooks 101 projects, page 202 tries to explain where to mount the lower strut support bracket, but does a p--- poor job of it. I'm going nuts here trying figure this out. All parts are stock 1989 left side, but I just can't figure out that bootm bracket location and clocking????? Someone point me to a better illustrated procedure Please..............................

The early cars with scissor supports dont have the holes drilled /tapped in the frame for the later brackets.You will have to do that yourself.
Can get you a pic of bracket location on frame if you like?

There are 2 Brackets out there! 1 is oringinal and 1 is aftermarket which I got from CC.
The aftermarket is bulky and I guess needs drilling. The original did not and I am just finding this out thanks to you guys. I you have the newer 1, yes some pics would be nice.

i just pulled one off a 88 vette with both brackets you should only have to drill holes on the bottm 1 hole and one hole on the side
