Hi,

I never want to burst anyone's bubble, but if a car doesn't draw any attention, 99% of the time it's the price that is the issue. Even though your '87 looks very good, the asking price is just too high in today's market. I would list it for $8,900. It's a mental thing to have it just under $9k. See what happens and let us know.

I totally agree with your assesment. I thought I might have covered that concern by posting in several locations that all reasonable offers would be considered. We did also lower the asking price on E-bay. We will let that auction run it's course and then if nothing happens, start a fresh campaign with new pricing. I appreciate you're comments...I also notice you are from New England....please pass the word if you know of anyone intersted...and let them know I am very moveable on the price! ;)

Hi again Chris,

I do understand that you are open to offers, but the asking price of $9k-ish just discourages anyone from making any offer. I sell Corvettes and have owned three C4's myself so I'm familiar with them. The C4 generation has just taken a nose dive in recent years. There are only a few that people, as a rule, even want...the ZR1 and the '96 Grand Sport, for example. I have people all the time asking about trading or selling their C4's, and it's hard to tell them that they are probably not going to get what they would like to get. It's just the way it is today, and it's unfortunate for the C4 cars.

Yes, I am in New England. I live 15 miles south of Boston and work in Plymouth for Corvette Mike New England (a sponsor here). Come and see me anytime!
