1987 Corvette VATS vs no start

Have bypassed the VATS, engine turns over and starts drove one block and turn off switch, came out of the Post Office and no start, vette turns over but does not fire. Other than the by pass, where else might I look. When I turn on the key, everything lights up, engine turns over but no starts. There are no indications of codes showing up, nor anythings shows on the display panel. Helpconfused:bash
