1987 Front calipers not releasing ?

Hello New to group. My 87 coupe was unused for 3-4 years. Now front pads don,t release fully causing rotors to heat excessivley.
Any recos short of replacing calipers ? Thanks for any help

Did you verify when you installed the new pads the surface area where the caliper rides on is clean so it can
move freely side to side?

With the front wheels off the ground, crack open the caliper bleeder screw for a second then re-tighten.
This will release any fluid pressure to the caliper. If you can now spin the wheel freely (You may hear
slight contact of the brake pad with the rotor which is normal). Replacing the rubber brake hose should fix the problem. If the caliper still drags after you relieved the pressure, you can purchase new caliper piston seals and rebuild the calipers. Not hard to do if you have an air compressor to push the piston out of the caliper.
