1987 Main Door Seal Repalcement

I have a 1987 Coupe and I'm looking to replace the main door seals. I seem to have come across a bunch of conflicting information. Are the main door seals held in place with rivets or are they simply press fitted with adhesive? I've been told that that you could replace these easily at home, what say you folks?

you can replace your self. The strips have little push in clips on the inside of the rubber. If you pull the rubber back you can see them. I use wire cutters to get in and gently work the clip out with out damage. There are a few screws at the top of the door. You will need to remove the inner door panel to get to them. I use black weather strip glue lightly on the same spots the factory did. Should take a couple of hours
