Question: 1988 C4 Dash lights

Dash lights out. Gauges work, all other lights work including hi-beams etc. When I put my finger over the light sensor I think I see a slight difference. (not real sure) Any suggestions? Could all the bulbs be out at the same time?

I had the same problem in my '87 and I changed all the bulbs no help. You gotta send it into like ecklers to get it fixed. But after mine went out a couple months later the lights came back.

There are 4 bulbs that provide the back lighting. The most common problem is the molex connector pin that provides the voltage to the bulbs develops high resistance. If you separate the two circuit boards the problem will be obvious. You can solder a wire to bypass the bad connector pin or you can purchase a new connector from Batee.com
