Car will not start, cranks over awesome
Vats by pass installed
No codes on OBD, code 12 only
New fuel pump relay
Gas at shrewder valve
Alarm light comes on when door open and key in ignition, not on when I leave the car?or in the car with doors closed
Is there vats in door locks?
Had new ignition and keys done in 1990
Had new fuel pump in 2001
sprayed wires with WD40,checked ground wires

Car ran great for 1 week then died when I stalled it in an intersection
Had new fuel pump 10yrs ago,low miles
Totally lost ,hope this is better information

Thanks (BYPASS)

Confirm pressure at rail with gauge.
check for injector pulse at injectors with a noid light

Which bypass ; for the key or the module itself?

I did the ignition by-pass with resistors at the bottom of steering coloum

I am not familiar with the 88 engine but if it has a TPS I would check it out. No code engine stops running but cranks is exactly what happened to my 93 when the tps went bad a few years ago. Apparently it was sending a signal to the ecm that the engine was flooded and so the ecm stopped the fuel to the injectors waiting for the engine to clear and fire. I only found this out after buying a ecm that did not fix the problem and so out of desperation sprayed some choke cleaner into the Throttle body and it fired up. As soon as it fired the ecm provided fuel to the injectors because it thought the engine was cleared out. Oh and the TPS was only about six months old when this happened.

You may have lost your timing. There is a way to check but I'm not 100% certain how to do it.

These things need checked. Three things are necessary for a running engine, adequate air, fuel and spark. The steps described above are very straightforward.

Make sure you have fuel your gas gauge could have sh!t out on you.

I'm curious...is this an automatic or manual? It could be as simple as a neutral safety switch on the clutch or a sensor on the automatic as you said it stalled at an intersection.

I don't think that there's VATS in the door locks, but there are anti theft switches in the doors which set off the anti theft system if not opened properly. I would also check that the system is deactivated properly.

Started

Did full tune up
Ran it for 15mins no codes, drove 1 mile and car started smoking
CAT must be plugged, got beat red like a coal in a fire pit
Can a CAT be cleared out or is it NFG

Cats gets fouled when DTC's correct by maxing injector pulsewidth.

You can pull it, and fish around in there, and see if it's tight, but since it's against the law to gut your cats, make sure not to fish around in there for more than 30 minutes with a BIG reamer... ;)
