Jay, the 88, 89, and some 90 Callaway B2K's got the air for the intercoolers ducted up froom the stock location for the air filter up through a "boxed" hood sealed to the intercoolers :cool
Here's a pic - Hope this helps :) (87's had the 2 NACA Ducts and some 90's and the 91's had the "blisters" up near the cowl of the hood...

Cool Chris, thanks for clearing that up...I did not know that. You learn something new every day. I thought they all had the hood scoops.

Josh - Why did you pass on the car? If it's anything you'd rather not share on the forum drop me an email.

Yup, odd indeed since he ended up paying $25 for his red one last year. Unless Josh you really paid less. :L
You sell it yet?

Man, that vette would be in my garage if i had the $$$

Yes I did pay less :D quite a bit. Kev if you want I can email you the file.

Steve, he paid less - a bit less :D He STOLE that car out of NY!!!
:beer

Yeah and he drove it like he stole it when he was cruising with us here in VA. :L
That's what it was built for. That car is very fast. It's worth $25,000 in my book.

Guys,

I called on this car today and it has been repainted and needs some interior work according to the owner. He also mentioned that the wheels need to be refinished. The reserve is set at $20,000. Too high for a car that IMHO needs some work and has been repainted.

$20K seems really low to me. Is that about right? or is someone getting a steal?

Jay

Jay, IMO, someone will be getting a decent car for 20k. I bet the price goes higher yet :)

Those cars have a lot going for them and low/mid 20's is where I am guessing this one will land - as it doesn't have the aerobody.

True, it needs cosmetics however, if solid - those things can be worked out. I still would have a tough time buying any vehicle, sight unseen - be sure to contact the seller if interested in the car

Thanks Chris ;)

The more I poke my head in this Callaway section the more it gets me thinking:)

Jay - you ought to look up SurfnSun in Ocala -he is nearing the completion of the sale on his Callaway... I suspect he would give a fellow member a ride before it goes :beer
