1989 Corvette Door Latch opening cover

While removing my center console on my 1989 Corvette i broke the door latch opening cover. To see what I mean it's on 8C-26 in the 1989 Corvette manual if you have one. This cover plastic cover plate is inside the center console and goes over the locking mechanism. If anyone knows where I would be able to find out if anyone either makes reproductions of these or would sell them used please lemme know. I saw one for a 1990-1996 Corvette from Corvette Central, but I'm sure that the part won't work.

Any luck yet finding one? I am not quite sure I know exactly what you are talking about. Can anyone explain??

IF you have a 1986 Corvette this should have the same assembly or I think it should. Okay when you get into the car open the center console. Inside where the latch is housed for the locking mechanism it is a small cover plate with a slit to allow the latch to come through. It's not very big only at 3-4 inches and is made of plastic. I have pics of it, but am not sure how to post them.

Is it so broken that you cannot try to glue it back together? The wide variety of plastics makes choosing the proper cement a challenge, but I have done some surprising things with super-glues.

It's a 1989 Vette that's just in mint condition all the way around. If I can't find something that is orginal or reproduction I will glue it back together, but I was just wondering if anyone knew of a company that I would either find one used or new.

I got my part from Taber Corvette parts. I sent them a picture of the part so they knew what I was talking about and the emailed me back that they had it. Feel dumb for doing it now because that broken piece of plastic cost me 23 bucks.
