Photo Cell Replacement on the 1990 Instrument Cluster
I have a 1990 Corvette with the classic dim instrument cluster as mention, every shop I've taken it to advise me that I would have to have my dash instrument cluster overhauled at $400-$500, I just happen to read this post and thought I'd give it a try it seemed simple enough and I couldn't beat the cost of $21.00 for the parts and a little of my time, well I've just completed this project and couldn't be more happy with the results, after replacing the photo cell with the step by step instructions my dash is brighter then I've ever seen it since I got this car five years ago, many thanks to the corvette enthusiast who share information, and advice for those of us who are still trying to find our way, I'm a believer of checking CAC to see if a DIY project before I spend a lot of $$$$$
