1990 Coolant Sensor

The engine coolant temperature gauge in my 1990 is not working properly. It seems that the easiest first try is to replace the sensor. I've been reading about this sensor in my manual and it appears there are two engine coolant sensors, one for the temperature guage with one wire and one for the fuel injection system with two wires. If this is the case, can anyone tell me where the temperature guage sensor is located? Thanks.

It's in the right head between #6 and #8 cylinder!!
