I recently purchased a 1993 40th anniversary coupe. Love the car but winter is approaching.

I've searched the site but haven't been able to find how much of the car has to come apart to remove the battery.

Looks like the lower fender panel has to be removed, but it isn't obvious how to get at the lower fasteners.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Do a search - this comes up all the time. One tip is to make sure you use a t15 torx bit not a t10 or you'll strip some of the screws.

Congratulations on the new car!

Battery Removal

There are several torx screws at the wheel one and another (or 2?) under the hood lip. Then there's one at the bottom (between the sill and panel) that requires a thin open end - but don't remove that one all the way. The panel has a slot and can be removed when all the torx screws are out and the hex at the bottom is loose.
Good luck.

C4vettes.com
has a step-by-step for this. Quite easy...

Man, that was fast.

Thanks a bunch, that's just what I needed.
