Having problems getting my 1993 Vette to restart when shutdown after the car is driven for awhile and it becomes warm. The motor turns over but acts like it is starved for fuel, will cough and backfire. After it sets for awhile will eventually restart. Have disconnected the negative battery lead to reset the computer which has worked a couple of times. Changed out the fuel pump, coil, coil ignition module, have a new opti spark but haven't changed out yet. Would appreciate any help in leading me in the right direction to fix this.

Have you put a gauge on it to check fuel pressure? Does it stay constant(or close to) after shut down? A weak fuel pressure diaphragm could allow pressure to bleed off when hot.

Definitely check fuel pressure regulator. I had the same problem with mine several years ago. When you start the car when it's warm and you see a little black smoke out the tail it's a good indication also that it's leaking causing the hard start when warm.
